Gf1 Aftercare was specifically developed to boost the skin's ability to repair itself after aesthetic and dermatologic procedures, speeding up the recovery time of the skin after having an elective procedure. Gf1 not only prepares and disinfects the skin before treatment but should also be used post treatment to ensure organised collagen formation without infection, inflammation or swelling. The result: skin is supported to repair and heal far more quickly. Whether you are a dermatologist, aesthetician, skincare therapist or someone who is committed to a regular aesthetic regime, the GF1 Aftercare works to help fight infection, treat excess inflammatory responses and speed up the healing and recovery process.

Recommended for use with micro-needling, all types of laser and light treatments, dermabrasion, acid-induced skin peels and waxing.

BENEFITS

The primary benefits of GF1 when used pre-treatment, or as an aftercare product to support the skin after manipulation are:

  • A strong non-cytotoxic antiseptic action against all pathogens without damaging the skin’s microbiome
  • A reduction in inflammation which means less redness, pain and minimal downtime.
  • 60 to 70% faster healing when using GF1 as directed.
  • Much lower risk of Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) in darker skin types.

GF1 is more concentrated than GF2 – intentionally designed to prepare the skin before treatment and support the healing process post treatment. Treatment complications from a chemical peel, micro-needling, laser, dermabrasion or waxing can include:

  • Infection
  • Scarring
  • Discolouration
  • Koebnerization (a form of psoriasis)
  • Rashes and delayed healing due to inflammation
  • Prolonged redness of the skin

THE POWER OF HYPOCHLOROUS ACID

By far the safest and most effective products are those that contain Hypochlorous acid (HOCl). This miracle molecule naturally occurs in the white blood cells and targets the proteins in the virus, which weakens its power to enter healthy cells. Because Hypochlorous acid is an electrically uncharged molecule it can get inside the virus and quickly kill it without damaging healthy cells. Making it an absolute miracle! Hypochlorous acid has also been proven to reverse inflammation and “switch off” the genes responsible for inflammation, ageing and disease.

NOT ALL HOCI IS MADE THE SAME

Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) is not made equal. Not all methods of manufacturing HOCl result in medical-grade solutions. It is imperative to use a product that contains HOCI that has not been manufactured using salt (sodium chloride/Na). Solutions containing sodium will also contain other toxic chemicals which can harm the healthy skin layer (microbiome) and cause reactions & disorder on the skin making it counterproductive.

HOW TO USE

Spray GF1 onto your clean skin before any skin treatment begins. This will make sure any pathogens on the face are eliminated before the treatment.

Pre-treatment

  • Wash your face with liquid skin cleanser and gently pat dry with a clean towel.
  • Holding the bottle approximately 15cm from your face spritz GF1 onto the face, neck and around the eyes until the skin is moist. Any pathogens on the skin will be killed on contact – the treatment can now begin (skin does not have to dry).

Post-treatment

Post procedure follow these guidelines to speed up the healing process, prevent infection and reduce inflammation:

  • Apply GF1 IMMEDIATELY after your treatment to a clean face (please wash any other lotions or product used during the treatment off first). A slight stinging or a feeling of tightness may occur for the first day of use.
  • Allow the skin to dry naturally (do not wipe off). We don’t recommend accelerating this drying with a hair-dryer or fan as the molecule is active when the skin is damp, so allowing this to evaporate naturally means you get the optimal contact with the skin and the active ingredient has time to be absorbed completely.
  • Continue to re-apply the spray to the face or the area treated once every 30 minutes for the rest of the day of the treatment.
  • If your skin is still red the day after the treatment keep applying GF1 once every hour to the affected area until the skin is no longer red.
  • At this point, your skin will have recovered and healed from the treatment.
  • You can now switch back to your regular routine of GF2 morning and evening.
  • Your GF1 should be used again before your next procedure or treatment in the same way.

Note: GF1 will not harm your eyes and is safe if you accidentally swallow some.

Caution: DO NOT MIX with or into any other product. Always apply GF1 to a clean dry face and allow it to dry completely on the skin. During the post-treatment healing phase we recommend the use of other products is suspended until the skin is healed.
